Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) |
| |
| Vitamin C is called Ascorbic
acid.
Vitamin C is one of the essential
nutrients(we need feeding up because
it is not produced in our body). Mammels
and plants can use Vitamin C which
is compounded from glucose but human
cannot compound Vitamin C in the body.
There are various enzymes relating
to Vitamin C compound in a human body
but enzymes which are catalizing the
final step (gulonolactone oxidase)
cannot fulfill its function.
Vitamin C is water soluble and
it is much contained in lemon juice,
parsley, various sorts of fruit, cabbages,
flower of vegetables, green pepper,
strawberry, raddish, leaves, fresh
vegetables. It is hardly contained
in milk, eggs, flesh and meat.
Not only we can take injest various
types of vitamin but also all kinds
of vitamin are sold on the market.
However, in the case of drinks and
granules we can generally take injest
Vitamin C with much sugar, it would
not be good for your health. Pure
Vitamin C tastes too much sour, so
it is difficult for us to keep using
internally.

Xylitol |
| |
| Xylitol tastes sweet and it is
the ingredient name of fresh sweetenings.
We mostly abstract sugar
from sugar plant and sugar beet. But
we abstract Xylitol from a birch and
oak tree.
In the first place Xylitol is
discovered during the World War II
but is regularized after Markinen,
who was International Protection Dentistry
Institute Chief and Dental college
professor, discovered the effects
of Xylitol in early years of 1970.
The price of Xylitol is roughly so
expensive as 12~15 times comparing
to the price of sugar. All over the
world Xylopin Company in Finland began
to produce a large quantaty of goods
for the first time. Xylitol chewing
gum is first issued in 1975. Finland
is eager for children to use Xylitol
chewing gum after meal of before bedtime.
Several European nations, the USA,
and Japan have introduced Xylitol
gum. They are producing it and also
they are selling it. Official Certification
System is put in operation in many
European Dentist Associations. (for
example in Finland, Norway,Sweden,
etc.) |
